Visit Full Site Why one group rather than three suppliers
Most organisations do not set out to end up with three IT suppliers. It happens gradually. A support contract is signed, then a security problem needs a specialist, then a migration needs someone who has done it before. Each decision is sensible on its own.
The cost shows up later, and not on an invoice. It shows up when something breaks at the seam between two of them. The support provider says the fault is in the network the security vendor changed. The security vendor says the migration altered the architecture. Everyone is technically correct and nobody owns the outcome, so the person who ends up coordinating three suppliers is you.
Our three divisions are genuine specialists in their own fields, and each runs its own business. What changes is the accountability. When a problem crosses a boundary, it does not become a conversation between vendors with you in the middle. One of us owns it end to end, and the other divisions are colleagues rather than third parties.
When a single specialist is the better answer
This model is not always the right one, and it is worth saying so. If you have one well-defined problem and no intention of changing anything else, a single specialist firm will usually be quicker to engage and cheaper to run. The group model earns its place when the work spans more than one discipline, or when you expect it to over the next few years.
If you are not sure which of those you are, that is a reasonable thing to ask us. Tell us what the problem looks like from where you sit and we will tell you honestly whether it needs one division, three, or someone else entirely.
